about
“No Excuses” is what we told ourselves when we started producing this album and it is something we all need to embrace in order to overcome our numbness and inertia caused by the incomprehensible times that we are living in.
The album demonstrates many of our music references in ten songs and is an important chapter for us, as we followed different sound and musical paths, something we have been pursuing for quite some time. It is our first release that features natural drums and bass as opposed to our more electronic style background, giving us the opportunity to approach our music a bit differently, introducing a more dynamic sound while still preserving the electronic element that characterizes us.
The better part of our lyrics refers to inner battles and the pursuit of mental balance but there are also references to personal experiences such as in “City Polluted” which was written about the city where the band was created and “Sinner Art” which describes the fragile relationship between the artists and their art. Additionally, there are references to societal matters in tracks such as “Perfect Toy”, “Change” and “Words”.
The production was done with a lot of love, energy and hard work, and we are honored to have collaborated with exceptional musicians from Greece and abroad. This gave us the opportunity to take our orchestration and creativity to a different level and a perfect example of this is in the song “Begin” on which we had the honor of the amazing Raphael Weinroth-Browne (Leprous, The Visit, Kamancello, Musk Ox) playing cello.
The cover photo is the work of the exceptional photographer Tassos Vrettos and like the album’s name suggests… “No more excuses, the angel must spread its wings once again”

As a former Ohio resident, I’ve been to Lake Erie a few times. It’s a mammoth lake that resembles an ocean but has its own unique serenity. Slow Wake is the musical psychedelic equivalent. This band is a hidden gem!
